Promotions are discounts on a single product, on a list of selected products or on a combination of two products for a certain period of time. The discount applies to manual and online order fulfillment. If two or more discount types are assigned to a single product, for example a promotion together with an order discount, then the discount with the highest value applies.
To manage you promotions go to Marketing ⇒ Promotions. To create a new promotion click the "Create" button on the top of the list. In the next screen choose a name for your promotion to help you identify the promotion in the list. The name is also used on your online product list.
The Start and End Date are being used to automatically enable the promotion at the start of the promotional period and automatically disable the promotion at the end of the promotional period. You can leave the start date empty to instantly activate the promotion and you can leave the end date empty which will leave your promotion forever active.
There are two types of promotions, Single Product and Two Products. With Single Product promotions discounts apply to a single product or to a list of products, and the discount applies as soon an online customer or sales agent adds one promotional product to an order. The Two Products promotions applies when an online customer or sales agent adds two products of the same name or brand to the same order.

The Description and Sell Story are used to publish your promotion on your website or B2B portal. In general the description is being used as the header of the published promotion and the sell story is then printed below. See the screenshot of the e-commerce website example on the right.
As you can see on the screenshot, the end-date of the promotion is printed as well. On the day that your promotion expires the system will automatically removse the promotion from your website. Gone are the days of having outdated promotions on your website!
